Levamlodipine maleate is the pharmacologically active enantiomer of amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes vascular smooth muscles and improves blood flow. It’s used in the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris, offering effective blood pressure control with fewer side effects compared to racemic amlodipine.
Levamlodipine maleate is available in Tablets
and strengths such as 1.25 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg.
Sourced from GMP-certified and ISO-compliant manufacturers, this API meets
global pharmacopeia standards (USP/EP/JP as applicable). Ideal for pharmaceutical

Product Description:
Levamlodipine is the pharmacologically active S-enantiomer of amlodipine and belongs to the dihydropyridine class of calcium channel blockers. It is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris. By selectively blocking calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle, levamlodipine helps relax and widen blood vessels, which improves blood flow and reduces blood pressure. This mechanism also decreases the workload on the heart, making it beneficial in managing cardiovascular conditions.
Levamlodipine offers similar therapeutic benefits to amlodipine but at lower doses due to its active enantiomeric form, which may help reduce certain side effects associated with racemic amlodipine. The medication is commonly prescribed for patients who require long-term blood pressure control and prevention of angina episodes.
Levamlodipine received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in December 2019 and is marketed in the United States under the brand name Conjupri. With its effective antihypertensive and antianginal properties, levamlodipine has become an important therapeutic option in cardiovascular management when used under appropriate medical supervision.
