Product Description:

Bromazepam is a 1,4-benzodiazepine with an intermediate half-life of around twenty hours. Like other benzodiazepines it is a positive allosteric modulator at the GABA-A receptor, increasing how often the chloride channel opens when GABA binds. At low doses its profile leans towards anxiolysis rather than sedation, which is why it has been prescribed mainly as a daytime anxiolytic in continental Europe, Latin America and parts of Asia.

The standard benzodiazepine limitations apply in full. Tolerance and dependence develop with continuous use, so courses should be short; withdrawal after prolonged use can include rebound anxiety, insomnia and, rarely, seizures, so doses are tapered. Combined with opioids or alcohol it causes additive respiratory depression, and in older patients it contributes to falls and cognitive impairment. It is metabolised by CYP3A4 and interacts with strong inhibitors such as fluvoxamine.

Sourcing notes. Bromazepam is a Schedule IV psychotropic under the 1971 UN Convention, so international trade needs an import authorisation from the destination country and an export authorisation from the source, alongside national quota and reporting obligations. It is not registered in the US or UK, which shapes where it can realistically be supplied. Manufacture is conventional immediate-release tablet work; the practical lead-time driver is the permit cycle, which can take longer than production.
