Tetrahydrozoline, also known as tetryzoline, is a sympathomimetic imidazoline derivative primarily used as a topical decongestant in ophthalmic and nasal preparations. The drug works by stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the small blood vessels of the eyes or nasal mucosa, leading to vasoconstriction.
