It is supplied as 0.4 mg, 0.56 mg and 1.2 mg vials, with the dose set by body weight. PharmaTradz handles enquiries for authorised supply of the originator product (named-patient and import-permit orders), and connects developers and licensees preparing for patent and exclusivity expiry.

Product Description:

Vosoritide is a modified form of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP). In achondroplasia, a change in the FGFR3 gene keeps the growth plates in the long bones permanently "switched down". Vosoritide works against that signal, so the growth plates can lay down new bone and the child grows faster than they otherwise would.

It is approved in the US, the EU and many other markets as Voxzogo for children with achondroplasia whose growth plates are still open. Parents or carers give it once a day as a small injection under the skin. The vial strength (0.4 mg, 0.56 mg or 1.2 mg) is chosen from the child's weight, so a hospital order normally lists the strength and the number of vials needed for a set period, for example 180 vials for six months.

Sourcing notes. Vosoritide is patented and there is no generic. Most requests we see come from countries where it is not yet registered, through named-patient or special-import routes. Treatment runs for years, so buyers should plan for continuous supply, not a single shipment. Vials are stored refrigerated, which means cold-chain shipping and temperature records are needed. The long-acting CNP product navepegritide is also listed on PharmaTradz.

How Vosoritide for Injection is supplied today, and licensing ahead of patent expiry

Named-patient import Where a patient needs the product in a market where it is not registered, named-patient import is the lawful route. It requires the treating physician's documentation and authorisation from the destination regulator. We handle this pathway. Named-patient access
Authorised distribution For registered markets, supply runs through the manufacturer's authorised distribution channel. We can identify the authorised route for your market and tell you whether the product is registered there at all. Innovator sourcing
A genericised alternative Where the clinical requirement is the drug class rather than this specific molecule, there is often an off-patent alternative that is faster to register and materially cheaper. Tell us the indication and target market and we will say plainly whether one exists. Discuss alternatives
Licensing and generic development Patents expire country by country, and in many countries development and dossier filing can start before expiry under research and regulatory-review exemptions. We connect manufacturers developing this molecule, dossier holders, licensees and tech-transfer partners for markets where it is, or will become, off-patent. Partner on this molecule
