This tablet combines glucosamine sulphate, collagen peptides, vitamin C, Boswellia serrata, devil's claw and ginger, and is marketed for joint health. Glucosamine is a building block of cartilage glycosaminoglycans. Collagen peptides supply amino acids used in connective tissue. Vitamin C is needed for collagen synthesis. Boswellia resin contains boswellic acids that inhibit 5-lipoxygenase. Devil's claw and ginger have anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory studies.

The evidence is mixed. Crystalline glucosamine sulphate showed modest symptom benefit in some knee osteoarthritis trials, while large independent trials found little effect, and guidelines differ. Boswellia and devil's claw have small trials suggesting pain reduction. Glucosamine is often made from shellfish, may affect blood glucose and can raise INR with warfarin. Devil's claw can cause gastrointestinal upset and should be avoided with peptic ulcers. Ginger and Boswellia may add to bleeding risk with anticoagulants.
