Product Description:

Diacerein is an anthraquinone derivative that the body converts fully to its active metabolite, rhein. Unlike NSAIDs, it does not act mainly on prostaglandins; it inhibits interleukin-1 beta signalling, a pathway linked to cartilage breakdown in osteoarthritis. It is a symptomatic slow-acting drug, so relief builds over several weeks rather than hours. Its approved use is symptomatic relief of hip or knee osteoarthritis.
