Vitamin and Supplement Gummies: Private Label

Gummies are searched in 114 of the 121 countries we studied, led by the US, Japan and Mexico. We help brands get vitamin and supplement gummies made in India under their own label.

What makes a good gummy product

Customers like gummies because they are easy to take. For a brand, they are harder to get right than tablets. Each gummy holds only a small amount of active ingredient, heat and moisture can affect both the gummy and the vitamins in it, and taste has to be good enough that people keep buying.

The base is the first decision. Pectin is plant-based and suits vegan and halal ranges. Gelatin gives the classic chewy texture but must come from a source your customers accept. Sugar-free gummies use sugar alcohols or other sweeteners, which have their own label rules.

Our gummy contract manufacturing page covers the production side in more detail. This page helps you plan the product.

What to check before you order

Base

Pectin for vegan and halal; gelatin source stated and certified if needed.

Measured content at the end of shelf life. Gummies usually need an overage.

Heat and humidity

Gummies can stick or soften in heat. Ask about packaging and shipping for hot markets.

Taste, colour, shape

Children

Kids gummies have extra rules in many markets, including dose limits and choking-risk warnings.

How it works with PharmaTradz

1
Brief

You send the product, format, strength per serving, market, pack and the quantity you have in mind.

2
Shortlist

Two or three Indian plants that already make that format, with their licences, certifications and export history. Names under a confidential disclosure agreement once the requirement is firm.

3
Formula and samples

We agree the formula, base, flavour and shape, and you receive samples to taste and test.

4
Label and compliance check

Your brand and artwork, checked against the rules of the market you sell in: label format, permitted ingredients and levels, and the claims you are allowed to make.

5
First production

Batch made with a Certificate of Analysis, and third-party test reports where your market or your retailer asks for them.

6
Repeat orders

Same plant, same formula and same specifications, scheduled to your sales.

Problems we see most often

Too little active per gummy

Gummies hold small amounts. A useful dose can need several gummies per day.

Melted or stuck gummies

Heat in storage or shipping. Plan packaging and shipping for hot climates.

Gelatin that does not suit the market

Porcine gelatin rules out halal markets. Decide the base early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pectin is plant-based and suits vegan and halal ranges. Gelatin gives a chewier texture but must come from a source your customers accept.

Some vitamins break down over time, faster in moist products such as gummies. A planned overage keeps the content on label until the expiry date.

It depends on the format and pack. Powders and capsules usually allow smaller first orders than gummies or softgels, because gummy and softgel lines run in larger batches. Tell us your quantity and we will tell you which plants can do it.

Yes. That is what private label means: the gummy is made by an Indian manufacturer and packed with your brand, label and barcode. You remain responsible for the product in your market, so check your local rules before you launch.

A Certificate of Analysis for every batch. On request, also third-party lab reports (for example heavy metals and microbiology), certificates such as halal, kosher or GMP, and the export documents your importer needs.
