Electrolyte Powder Manufacturer: Private Label Drink Mixes and Tablets
Electrolyte drinks have moved beyond sport into everyday hydration, travel and hot-climate markets. We help brands find an electrolyte manufacturer that gets the minerals, the taste and the packaging right.
Sodium first, then everything else
An electrolyte mix is mostly sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride, with or without sugar, flavoured to drink in water. The sodium per serving is the first decision. Higher levels suit endurance sport and heat; lower levels suit everyday drinks. The taste changes a lot between the two.
Most electrolyte powders pull moisture from the air. Without the right packaging they cake into lumps, especially in humid markets. Stick packs and sachets with a proper moisture barrier, or effervescent tablets in sealed tubes, are the usual answers.
Keep a clear line between a drink mix and a medicine. Oral rehydration salts made to the WHO formula are medicines in many countries. Sports and everyday electrolyte mixes are foods or supplements, and in the EU, claims for sports drinks are only allowed when the recipe meets set conditions.

What to check before you order
Mineral amounts
Sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride per serving, confirmed on the Certificate of Analysis.
Caking
How the powder behaves in humidity, and packaging with a real moisture barrier.
Taste
Salt is hard to hide. Expect several flavour rounds, especially for high-sodium mixes.
Sugar and sweeteners
Sugar per serving, or the sweeteners in sugar-free versions and their label rules.
Format
Tubs, stick packs or effervescent tablets, chosen for how and where your customers drink it.
Your market
Food or supplement status, label format and the claims each market allows.
Formats we can arrange
| Format | Good for | Things to decide |
|---|---|---|
| Stick packs and sachets | On the go, single servings | Grams per stick, box count, moisture barrier |
| Tubs and pouches | Daily use, best value | Scoop size, servings per pack |
| Effervescent tablets | Pharmacies, travel, hot markets | Tablets per tube, sodium per tablet |
| Capsules | Endurance athletes | Capsules per serving, salt per capsule |
Effervescent electrolyte tablets are made on the same low-humidity lines as vitamin C tablets. See our tablet and effervescent manufacturing page.
How it works with PharmaTradz
You send the product, format, strength per serving, market, pack and the quantity you have in mind.
Two or three GMP-certified plants that already make that format, with their licences, certifications and export history. Names under a confidential disclosure agreement once the requirement is firm.
We agree the mineral profile, flavour and format, and you test samples until the taste is right.
Your brand and artwork, checked against the rules of the market you sell in: label format, permitted ingredients and levels, and the claims you are allowed to make.
Batch made with a Certificate of Analysis, and third-party test reports where your market or your retailer asks for them.
Same plant, same formula and same specifications, scheduled to your sales.
Problems we see most often
Powder that cakes
Moisture gets in through weak packaging and the powder turns to lumps. Test the pack in your climate.
Too salty to drink
High-sodium mixes need careful flavouring. Try samples with real customers.
Medicine-style claims
Calling a drink mix a rehydration treatment can make it a medicine in some markets. Keep claims within what your market allows.
