Collagen Peptides: Private Label Powders, Sachets and Gummies
Collagen is searched in every one of the 121 countries we studied, most of all in the US, UK, Mexico, Poland and Germany. We help beauty and wellness brands get collagen products made in India under their own name.
Start with the source
Collagen peptides (also called hydrolysed collagen) come from animal sources, usually bovine hide or fish skin and scales. The source decides a lot: who can buy your product, which certifications you need and what you can say on the label.
Bovine collagen is the most common and usually the cheapest. Marine collagen suits buyers who avoid beef and is popular in Asia. For the Gulf, Malaysia and Indonesia, halal certification of the collagen and of the factory is usually expected.
Collagen itself has no authorised health claim in the EU or the UK. Brands there often add vitamin C, which has an authorised claim for normal collagen formation. Other markets have their own rules, and we check your claims against the market you sell in.

What to check before you order
Source and certificates
Species, country of origin and, where needed, halal or other certificates for both the raw collagen and the finished product.
Protein content
Protein per serving on the Certificate of Analysis, with the method used.
Heavy metals and microbiology
Important for marine collagen especially. Ask for heavy metals and microbiology results for each batch.
Taste and mixing
Unflavoured collagen should dissolve clear with little taste. Ask for a sample before you agree the specification.
Added ingredients
Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid or biotin are common additions. Each one has its own rules on levels and claims.
Your market
Label format, permitted ingredients and claims differ between the US, EU, UK, the Gulf and Asia.
Formats we can arrange
| Format | Good for | Things to decide |
|---|---|---|
| Powder (tub or pouch) | Daily-use products, best value | Flavour, scoop size, source |
| Stick-pack sachets | Beauty and travel ranges | Grams per sachet, box count |
| Gummies | Convenient format, lower dose | Collagen per gummy is low; check how many gummies make a serving |
| Capsules and tablets | Combination products | Collagen needs a large dose, so many capsules per serving |
Collagen servings are usually several grams, so powders and sachets carry a useful amount far more easily than capsules or gummies.
How it works with PharmaTradz
You send the product, format, strength per serving, market, pack and the quantity you have in mind.
Two or three Indian plants that already make that format, with their licences, certifications and export history. Names under a confidential disclosure agreement once the requirement is firm.
We agree the source, flavour and serving, and you receive samples to taste and test.
Your brand and artwork, checked against the rules of the market you sell in: label format, permitted ingredients and levels, and the claims you are allowed to make.
Batch made with a Certificate of Analysis, and third-party test reports where your market or your retailer asks for them.
Same plant, same formula and same specifications, scheduled to your sales.
Problems we see most often
Wrong source for the market
Bovine collagen without halal certification will not suit most Gulf or Malaysian buyers. Decide the source before you design the label.
Gummies that promise too much
A gummy holds far less collagen than a scoop of powder. Make sure the serving on the label is realistic.
Claims that are not allowed
Skin and joint claims for collagen are restricted in several markets. Check before you print.
