Product Description:
It is caused by pressure in the veins of the lower body created by prolonged standing and walking. Varicose veins cause discomfort and aching pain; sometimes, it led to severe problems.
Polidocanol (lauromacrogol 400) is a medication widely used in dermatology and vascular treatments due to its local anesthetic, antipruritic, and sclerosing properties. It is commonly included as an active ingredient in ointments, creams, and bath additives designed to relieve itching and skin irritation associated with conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and dry skin. By soothing the skin and reducing nerve irritation, polidocanol helps provide effective relief from persistent itching and discomfort.
In addition to its dermatological use, polidocanol is also used in medical procedures to treat vascular conditions such as varicose veins, spider veins, hemangiomas, and certain vascular malformations. In these treatments, it acts as a sclerosing agent, meaning it is injected directly into affected veins where it damages the inner lining of the blood vessel. This causes the vein to collapse, close, and eventually be reabsorbed by the body over time.
Chemically, polidocanol is produced through the ethoxylation of dodecanol, resulting in a non-ionic surfactant compound suitable for medical applications. Due to its dual role in skin care and vascular therapy, polidocanol is widely utilized in both dermatological formulations and minimally invasive vein treatment procedures.
