Beclomethasone dipropionate is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) used for long-term management of asthma and COPD. It reduces airway inflammation and helps prevent breathing difficulties. In the U.S., it's available as QVAR RediHaler in 40 mcg and 80 mcg strengths. In the EU, it is marketed as Clenil Modulite (MDI) and Beclomet Easyhaler (DPI), with strengths ranging from 50 mcg to 250 mcg. Combination inhalers like Fostair (with formoterol) are also available. Beclomethasone improves lung function and reduces flare-ups when used regularly. It is not available in capsule-inhalation form in the US/EU but is common in some Asian markets.
