Product Description:
Venetoclax is a selective inhibitor of BCL-2, a protein that helps cancer cells avoid programmed cell death; blocking it allows leukaemia cells to undergo apoptosis. It is approved for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma, and, with azacitidine, decitabine or low-dose cytarabine, for newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia in adults aged 75 or over or with conditions that rule out intensive chemotherapy (reference brands: Venclexta, Venclyxto).

Regulatory files and timing
The FDA list of Drug Master Files (third quarter 2026) shows 8 active Type II API DMFs for this molecule. Few filings usually means few qualified sources, so early contact with suppliers pays off. For Europe, ask whether the supplier holds a CEP or an EU ASMF and, for imports into the EU, a written confirmation.
Generic or biosimilar entry. United States: Patent expiry; entry not confirmed (Jun 2031 (compound patent)). European Union: No confirmed date.
Handling and quality points
Venetoclax is a large, poorly soluble molecule, so solid form, particle size and residual solvents all matter to the formulator working on dissolution. It carries a nitroaromatic group and a piperazine ring, so ask for a mutagenic impurity assessment under ICH M7 and a nitrosamine risk assessment. It is a potent anticancer agent and is usually handled under containment, with cleaning validation expected at shared sites.

Venetoclax API — third party manufacturing & bulk supply
Venetoclax API is available through PharmaTradz for wholesale and bulk supply as well as on a third party (contract) manufacturing basis. Buyers sourcing this product generally take one of three routes:
Indicative minimum order quantity
Venetoclax API is supplied as API (drug substance) — a dosage form priced by order value, so the indicative MOQ is a minimum order value of USD 5,000 per product. Actual MOQ is confirmed by the allocated manufacturer against your pack presentation and destination market. See full supply terms for dossier formats, market availability and shelf life.
Manufacturers of Venetoclax API listed on PharmaTradz hold site-level approvals across WHO-GMP, EU-GMP, USFDA, ANVISA and TGA, verified at onboarding.

Frequently Asked Questions
The core set is the GMP certificate, certificate of analysis and specification with methods. For filings, ask for a US DMF letter of access and, for Europe, an ASMF or CEP where available. Buyers also expect solid-form data, an ICH M7 mutagenic impurity assessment, a nitrosamine assessment and stability results.
Several crystalline forms, including solvates, have been described in the patent literature, and the form affects how an already poorly soluble drug behaves. Ask for XRPD on each batch and make sure the form suits your formulation route, especially if you plan an amorphous dispersion.
Yes. We bring together licensed formulators, CDMOs and R&D teams and GMP-compliant venetoclax manufacturers, with document checks done first. Buyer information is shared only when both sides agree.
