Product Description:
Rizatriptan is a selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura. It works by constricting dilated cranial blood vessels and inhibiting the release of inflammatory neuropeptides involved in migraine pathophysiology. Rizatriptan provides effective relief from migraine pain as well as associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. It is administered orally and is available as conventional tablets and orally disintegrating tablets that dissolve on the tongue, offering faster onset and ease of use. Rizatriptan is intended for use during an active migraine attack and is not indicated for migraine prevention.
