Product Description:

Glycopyrronium tosylate is a topical anticholinergic for excessive underarm sweating. Glycopyrronium blocks muscarinic receptors on eccrine sweat glands, damping the nerve signal that drives sweating, and as a quaternary ammonium compound it enters the brain poorly. The reference product is a single-use cloth pre-moistened with the solution and wiped over both underarms. Skin application targets the glands and reduces the dry mouth that limits oral anticholinergics.

In the US it is approved for primary axillary hyperhidrosis from age nine. One cloth is used once a day on clean, dry underarms, and hands are washed straight afterwards, because drug reaching the eyes can dilate pupils and blur vision. It is contraindicated in conditions worsened by anticholinergics, such as glaucoma, paralytic ileus, severe ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis and Sjögren's syndrome. Urinary retention can occur, and reduced sweating raises heat illness risk in hot weather. Dry mouth and local burning are common.

Sourcing notes. The cloth is approved in the US and a limited number of other markets, while some countries authorise a glycopyrronium cream instead, so check the local position before quoting. Clarify whether 2.4% is expressed as glycopyrronium or as the tosylate salt when comparing offers. Each cloth sits in a sealed foil pouch that prevents evaporation; store at room temperature with no cold chain. Expect a CTD dossier with container-closure and stability data.
