Efgartigimod alfa (Vyvgart, argenx) lowers harmful IgG antibodies by blocking the FcRn receptor. It is used for generalised myasthenia gravis and, as the subcutaneous Vyvgart Hytrulo, for CIDP. PharmaTradz handles enquiries for authorised supply of the originator product (named-patient and import-permit orders), and connects developers and licensees preparing for patent and exclusivity expiry.

Product Description:
Efgartigimod alfa is an antibody fragment that blocks the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn). FcRn normally rescues IgG antibodies from breakdown, keeping them in the blood for weeks. When it is blocked, IgG levels, including the autoantibodies that attack nerve and muscle, fall by more than half within days.
It is approved for generalised myasthenia gravis in adults with anti-acetylcholine-receptor antibodies, given in cycles of four weekly doses, with further cycles based on symptoms. A subcutaneous form combined with hyaluronidase (Vyvgart Hytrulo) is also approved for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), and a pre-filled syringe allows self-injection.
Sourcing notes. Efgartigimod is patented and there is no biosimilar. Because treatment is given in cycles, buyers should plan quantities per cycle and per patient. It is a cold-chain product. Rozanolixizumab, another FcRn blocker, is also listed on PharmaTradz.
